Kilkenny Camogie manager Peter 'Chap' Cleere
Former Kilkenny hurler Peter 'Chap' Cleere has been confirmed as the new manager of the county senior camogie team.
Cleere joins the Cats on the back of guiding Carlow to the National League Division 3A title last term and the two-time All-Ireland winner replaces Brian Dowling in the role.
The backroom team will be announced in due course and Cleere certainly has big shoes to fill after Dowling led Kilkenny to two All-Ireland victories in 2020 and 2022.
Cleere's ratification was confirmed after a county board meeting on Tuesday night where he's been given an initial one year term.
County Board Chairperson Theresa Aylward said she is delighted with the appointment and wishes Peter every success in his new role.
