The GAA have released it's Master Fixture list for the 2024 calendar year which includes the full schedule for the Allianz Hurling and Football Leagues.
Kilkenny reached last year's Division 1 League final but they've a tough set fo fixtures to deal with this time around including away trips to Munster teams Cork, Clare and Waterford.
Derek Lyng's side open up with a home game against near neighbours Wexford on Sunday February, 4 with their only other tie in UPMC Nowlan Park coming against top division newboys Offaly.
The upcoming league campaign will be the last in it's current guise with big changes arriving for 2025.
Currently Division 1 is comprised of two groups of six, and the 2024 League will determine which teams compete in the newly structured Division 1A in 2025.
The top three from each group will qualify for Division 1A in 2025 along with the winners of a play-off between the two fourth-placed teams.
In 2025, the two teams that finish bottom of Division 1A will be replaced by the top two teams in Division 1B which will also feature seven teams.
