Tullogher-Rosbercon, Leinster junior hurling champions 2023

A dominant drive through Leinster has earned Tullogher-Rosbercon a second provincial junior hurling crown.

The South Kilkenny side picked up more silverware after seeing off Offaly’s Carrig-Riverstown at a blustery O’Connor Park.

The winners made a dream start, taking the lead when Walter Walsh blasted a goal inside the opening 20 seconds. It got better from there, as points from Marty Murphy and Conor Hennessy helped them take a 1–7 to 0-7 lead in at the break.

Playing with the wind in the second half Tullogher kicked on and took a huge step towards the title within four minutes of the restart. Marty Murphy did the damage, gathering Lar Murphy’s pass and racing past the Offaly defence to finish from close range (2-9 to 0-7).

Tullogher never let the game slip from here, as Pat Hartley and Colman O’Sullivan led defence and midfield with distinction all the way to the finish.
