Double winners, Michael Reddy and Robert Frisby
Michael Reddy and Robert Frisby, sixth class pupils in St Beacon’s NS Mullinavat became u13 A Doubles Kilkenny Cumann na mBunscoil Schools Handball Championship in O’Loughlin Gaels Handball Club.
In the Preliminary Round Michael and Robert beat a pairing from Clogh NS.
The quarter-final proved to be a tougher match where Michael and Robert narrowly defeated the St Mary’s NS Thomastown pairing in a tie break match.
In the semi-final Michael and Robert overcame the challenge of Churchill NS Cuffesgrange.
In the final the Mullinavat duo defeated Sean Millea and Finn Walsh of Tullaroan NS on an aggregate score of 21- 15.
The St Beacon’s NS doubles pairing represented Kilkennyin the Leinster Cumann na mBunscoil Schools Handball Competition in Croke Park last Friday.
Well done also to Jamie Fitzpatrick who represented St Beacon’s in the u13 A Schools Handball Singles Competition.
