Kilkenny's run in the Glen Diplex All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship has came to an end at the quarter-final stage for the second year in a row after the Cats fell to Dublin in Croke Park.
An opening half goal from Sinead Wylde as well as big displays from the likes of Aishling Maher, and Aishling O'Neill was enough to see the Dubs prevail by four points.
Kilkenny were forced to line up without the injured Miriam Walsh and while they did lead 0-7 to 1-2 with 25 minutes on the clock, their attacking threat soon dried up as Dublin dominated the majority of the second period.
Captain Aoife Prendergast starred with a five point tally while Aoife Doyle and Caoimhe Keher Murtagh also chipped in with efforts but Chap Cleere's team were very much second best on the afternoon.
It must also be taken into account that Dublin missed a first half penalty and while it's a big result for the Metropolitans, there is no getting away from the fact that it's a very disappointing way for Kilkenny to exit the championship after beating the same opposition in the Leinster Final a couple of weeks ago.
