Kilkenny have made four changes for this weekend's Allianz Hurling League clash with near neighbours Tipperary.

Thomastown's Peter McDonald will captain the side as he replaces Killian Doyle in midfield while there is also an entirely new full forward line with Billy Drennan, TJ Reid and Gearoid Dunne lining up at the expense of Stephen Donnelly, Eoin Cody and Harry Shine.

Sunday's meeting in UPMC Nowlan Park will see TJ Reid make his first start of the year with both Richie Reid and John Donnelly named on the bench for their first involvement in 2025.

It's a crucial game for the home side as a defeat may well drag them into a relegation battle with only more game to come so points are very much at a premium.

Tipperary have started the spring campaign in fine fettle and currently sit joint-top of the Division 1A table so the Noresiders will need to be at their best if they are to claim success.

It's an early start in the Marble City with the game commencing at 1.15pm and it's also live on TG4.
