Young Kilkenny rugby fans can look forward to a week of fun as the Leinster Rugby Summer Camps return this summer.

Registration for the camps is now open, with Kilkenny rugby club’s Foulkstown grounds a host location from August 4 to 8. Camps will be held across the 12 counties of Leinster in July and August and are open to boys and girls from six to 12 years of age. Each camp will run for five days, Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 1pm.

These camps cater to players of all levels, from beginners who will learn the fundamentals of rugby to the more experienced player who will further develop their skills, under the guidance of IRFU and Leinster accredited coaches. Focusing on skill development, teamwork and plenty of fun, these camps promise an unforgettable experience for children of all skill levels. The camps cost €95, with each child receiving a Leinster Rugby goodie bag.

“Every year the Summer Camps book out so the advice is to book early to avoid disappointment,” said Ray McCabe, Leinster Rugby Summer Camp Co-Ordinator. “As with every year, this is all about the girls and the boys that come down to our clubs to have fun with their pals and with our coaches and the amount of kids that come back year after year is hopefully a great sign of the fun environment we look to create. Of course we also want them to learn the fundamentals of the Leinster Rugby way, but they hopefully do that in a fun and engaging way.”
