The legends of the golfing world are on their way to Mount Juliet!

The famed Kilkenny golf course will be the venue for the Irish Legends from May 15 to 17. It promises to be a great event as the Legends of the game will look to claim Adilson Da Silva’s 2024 crown.

Last year’s event, which was held at which was held at Seapoint Golf Links, featured legendary golfers Angel Cabrera, Peter Baker and Ian Woosnam - and this year promises to be just as exciting. The field will once again include major champions, former Ryder Cup players and past champions from both the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.

“Mount Juliet Estate is a proven tournament host venue, having staged five Irish Opens, two World Golf Championships, and a Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf in its earlier days,” said Matt Sandercock, Director of Golf at Mount Juliet Estate. “We are absolutely delighted to be hosting our first Legends Tour Event in May. The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming legends of the game and past heroes to our Jack Nicklaus Signature Design Course, which will prove an enjoyable and challenging test for all, particularly for those making their first visit to the course.

“We’re thrilled to have OFX as the title sponsor, and their partnership will undoubtedly play a key role in ensuring the success of this event,” he added.

The event will kick off on Wednesday with a celebrity pro-am, where stars including Robbie Fowler, Teddy Sheringham and more icons to be revealed, will have the chance to showcase their golfing talents.

The championship course at Mount Juliet Estate was designed by Jack Nicklaus and stretches up to 7,200 yards across 180 acres of land.

The course provides players with plenty of challenges to avoid with five lakes, which come into play on six holes, and 80 bunkers which are strategically placed around the course. The event will be a great day out for all of the family where people can watch the Legends of the game compete for the title.

“We’re delighted to continue as the title sponsor of the OFX Irish Legends for a second year,” said Maeve McMahon, President EMEA, of OFX. “At OFX, we specialise in helping businesses manage their global money transfers with confidence, and this partnership reflects our commitment to supporting excellence - whether in international business or on the golf course. We look forward to another incredible year celebrating and engaging with players and fans alike.”
