The excitement is building for the 2025 Streets of Kilkenny 5k!

The event, which has sold out for the third consecutive year, returns to the city streets tomorrow (Thursday). Organised by Kilkenny City Harriers and part of the nationwide Peugeot Race Series, the race gets underway from the Parade at 7.30pm.

And the invitation has gone out to people to get out and roar the runners on as they take on the two-lap course.

“We want everyone to come into the city for the two-lap race and encourage the participants as race through the city,” said Race Director Nicholas Dunphy. “The committee is very grateful to the volunteers positioned around the course, as their assistance is essential.

“We are thrilled that the race will feature participation from both male and female Olympians, an American record holder, and individuals completing their couch to 5k journey,” he added, also thanking race sponsors Langton House Hotel, Marble City Travel, Fran Grincell, IFAC, David Wilson Jewellery, Noel Sugrue Sports Osteo, Everard Physio and Kilkenny Council for their support. “We are delighted to have them joining us for the run.”
