The Tom Walsh Cup is the prize on offer for both clubs at the weekend
After a full round of league fixtures and a flourishing knockout championship campaign, the senior club season in Kilkenny will reach its conclusion on Sunday afternoon.
You’ve to go all the way back to the August Bank Holiday weekend for the commencement of the season and it will all come to a crescendo when O’Loughlin Gaels and Shamrocks Ballyhale battle it out for senior honours in UPMC Nowlan Park on Sunday afternoon.
O’Loughlin’s will be looking to complete a league and championship double as well as add a sixth overall title while the Shamrocks will look to win the senior crown for the first time since 2022.
The Shamrocks are alongside Tullaroan at the top of the roll of honour with 20 wins and another title will see them as leaders on this statistic for the first time ever.
