Criomhthann Bergin raises the All-Ireland junior trophy earlier this year
The story of the Leinster Club Hurling Championship is mainly a very positive one from a Kilkenny point of view and supporters will be hoping that continues this weekend when Shamrocks Ballyhale and Danesfort chase further silverware.
Since the three grades Senior, Intermediate and Junior were all in existence alongside each other since 2004, at least one club from the county has brought home success and in many cases more than one.
Shamrocks Ballyhale will look to add to their senior tally in Croke Park this evening and they already lead the roll of honour with 12 titles in total with James Stephens x4, O'Loughlin Gaels x3, Glenmore x2 and Graigue Ballycallan all winning titles at the top level.
Success in the other two grades is even more prounounced with 13 different titles at Intermediate level since 2004 including multiple wins for Dicksboro and Carrickshock while incredibly there has been 19 times that a side from the county has won the Junior crown with Blacks and Whites, Conahy Shamrocks, Mooncoin and Tullogher Rosbercon all winning two titles apiece.
Throwing all that into the mix and you can see the challenge that awaits both St Martin's (Wexford) and Ratoath (Meath) in the Senior and Intermediate finals this weekend.
