Rampant St Kieran's book place in Leinster Colleges Hurling final

Gearoid O'Shea who won All-Ireland minor title wit Waterford in 2025 netted two goals in the win over Good Counsel

The Corn Ui Dhuill Leinster Colleges Final will be an all Kilkenny affair for a third year in a row after St Kieran's ran out 27 point winners over Good Counsel in the rescheduled last four affair on Thursday afternoon.

Kilkenny CBS now await Kieran's in the decider but in this form, the defending Leinster champions will take some stopping with their strength in depth really showing once again.

Gearoid O'Shea who only won an All-Ireland minor title last year with Waterford scored two second half goals for the winners and with Conor McEvoy, Brian Hickey and Kilkenny senior star David Barcoe all starring, Brian Dowling's team had things all their own way.

With a massive wind at their backs in the opening half, Kieran's all but settled the result as they overpowered their Wexford neighbours with some relentless plays of attack.

Kieran's registered 18 points in total in the first half including a spell where they scored ten on the bounce showed all their scoring prowess and if it wasn't for a Darren Rossiter goal, the interval 0-18 to 1-2 scorecard would have looked even worse for Good Counsel.

The New Ross side did improve in the second half with Sean O'Brien leading the scoring but once Gearoid O'Shea got the first of his two goals in the 49th minute, the contest rather petered out with Robert McEvoy, Eoghan Cahill and Joe Power all pointing off the bench in between O'Shea's second major.

It sets up an exciting meeting in the final between the two Kilkenny city neighbours with provincial silverware up for grabs next week.
