There’s a new roar of excitement in Kilkenny’s sporting scene with the K Bowl Tigers, the city’s only ten-pin bowling club, inviting new members to join the fun.

The club will host an open night in K Bowl on Tuesday, March 3 at 8pm.

Formed in 2014 at K Bowl Kilkenny out of a recreational workplace league, K Bowl Tigers has grown into a vibrant and inclusive club made up of players of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to novice and intermediate bowlers.

The club runs regular singles and doubles leagues throughout the year, with games held every Tuesday at 8pm in K Bowl Kilkenny. These sessions combine friendly competition with a relaxed, social atmosphere and are perfect for anyone looking to try something new or return to the lanes after some time away.

“We’re always delighted to welcome new faces,” said Paul Phelan, Chairperson of K Bowl Tigers. “Ten-pin bowling is a fun, accessible sport that anyone can enjoy. You don’t need to be super fit or have any prior experience - just bring comfortable trainers or flat shoes, and K Bowl provides everything else.”

The club is actively seeking new members, particularly beginners or those simply curious about the sport. Ten-pin bowling offers a great balance of leisure and competition, making it ideal for those who enjoy socialising, friendly rivalry, and a relaxed night out.

Anyone interested in finding out more is invited to drop into K Bowl Kilkenny any Tuesday at 8pm or come along to the open night on March 3 at 8pm to meet the members of K Bowl Tigers and even try a few frames.
