Loreto are through to the Corn Sceilge All Ireland Post Primary Senior A Final after beating Presentation Athenry in Palmerstown.
Loreto opened the scoring with a pointed free from Ona Kennedy and she added a second pointed free a minute later.
Presentation Athenry then converted two frees through Katelyn Walsh and Mollie Noone which were the visitors’ only response throughout the opening period.
Hollie Ryan then scored two excellent points from play for Loreto before Ona Kennedy added another pointed free for the Kilkenny school after the opposition’s defence were deemed to have overcarried the sliotar,
Hollie Ryan scored her third point to put Loreto 0-6 to 0-2 ahead before Ona Kennedy scored the final three points of the first half to leave the interval score 0-9 to 0-2 in favour of Loreto.
On the resumption of play, Clodagh Burke tagged on a pointed free for Presentation Athenry with Ona Kennedy adding to her tally with another free for Loreto.

Katelyn Walsh scored Presentation Athenry’s fourth point (first from play) as Ona Kennedy tacked on the next two points for Loreto, the latter point being the most impressive as it looked like it was wide but it somehow curled in and went over the bar.
Loreto’s midfielder Eleanor Doheny slotted over the home side’s 13th point before Clodagh Burke converted a pointed free for the Connacht side as Emma Hogan and Lucy Boyd added a point each for Loreto.
Over the next five minutes, Presentation Athenry added two points through Clodagh Burke (free) and Katelyn Walsh (free) and Ona Kennedy slotted over a further two pointed frees for Loreto.
In the 56th minute, Holly Ryan hit the sliotar towards the Presentation Athenry goal, Loreto substitute Kate Dowling fielded it, turned and buried the sliotar into the bottom left corner of the net.
From the puckout, Presentation Athenry went on the attack and substitute Anna Jordan scored a consolation goal ahead of Shannon Doheny and Shauna Mahony scoring a point each for Loreto.
Heading towards full-time, Eva McGlynn tacked on a point for Athenry, but it did little to dent the Loreto’s winning margin of 11 points 1-19 to 1-8.
Loreto will now face Ursuline, Thurles in the All Ireland Final where they will be bidding for their 11th title and fourth in a row on Saturday, February 21, with venue and time to be confirmed.
