Kilkenny senior camogie captain Caoimhe Dowling

The Kilkenny senior camogie team will face into a new era when they travel to Galway for their first game in the Centra National League on Saturday.

With Tommy Shefflin stepping away as manager at the end of the 2025 season, a new management team consisting of James Meagher (St Lachtain’s), David Dowling (Tullaroan), Eoin Murphy (Conahy Shamrocks), Kieran Brennan (James Stephens), Stephen Farrell (St Lachtain’s) and James Kelly (O’Loughlin Gaels) has taken over the reins.

The Cats will be looking for an improvement in fortunes after narrowly avoiding relegation from Division 1A last term and losing out in an All-Ireland Quarter-Final.

Kilkenny kick off their campaign with a trip to the All-Ireland champions and also have Waterford away but they will have home comforts for the visit of Antrim, Cork and Tipperary.
