Kilkenny team named for tonight's league clash with Galway in Salthill

Tom Phelan is back in the Kilkenny starting lineup after returning from a year out with injury

Kilkenny have made three changes for tonight's Division 1A Allianz League clash with Galway in Pearse Stadium, Salthill.

Rory Garrett, Niall Shortall and Tom Phelan come in to the team at the expense of Mikey Butler, Timmy Cliford and Ed McDermott with all three of those players missing out on the squad altogether.

With tonight's teams sitting on four points apiece, a win would alleviate a bit of relegation pressure as the Leinster Championship sides look to lay down a marker.

Throw-in is at 5.15pm and the game is live on RTE 2.
