Barron is super sub for Shamrocks

Stephen Barron turned out to be the super sub for Ballyhale Shamrocks when they scored a sensational win in the Kilkenny Roinn A minor hurling final.

Barron booted a 62nd minute goal that beat James Stephens by 3-15 to 4-9 as Ballyhale Shamrocks took their third title at Nowlan Park this afternoon.

The scores were level twice during the second half at 1-12 to 2-9 and then 4-9 to 2-15 before the man with No. 22 on his back decided it all.
