Champions Evergreen have a home tie against Newpark in the opening round of the McCalmont Cup PICTURE: MICHAEL BROPHY
City pride will be at stake as Evergreen A take on Newpark in the opening round of this year’s McCalmont Cup.
Defending champions Evergreen, who clinched the Cup as part of a domestic treble last season, have home advantage in this clash.
Last year’s beaten finalists Thomastown United A – who were sunk by Sean Barcoe’s extra-time goal – have been drawn away to Deen Celtic B. Another interesting tie sees an all-Division One pairing between Clover United A and Fort Rangers, while Freebooters A will face another Evergreen side – Evergreen 46 – in their Cup opener.
