Kilkenny will start the defence of their National Hurling League title with a home clash against Cork.

Provisional fixtures for the 2019 Allianz Leagues have Brian Cody’s Cats at home to the Rebels on Sunday, January 27.

Kilkenny, who won their 18th League title when beating Tipperary by 2-23 to 2-17 in the Division One final this year, will have just two games at home in their 2019 campaign. The second will be a meeting with All-Ireland champions Limerick in round three.

Their first away game is against Clare in February. Following the Limerick clash they will close out the group stages away to Tipperary and Wexford.

The League final has been provisionally fixed for March 24.
