The Kittens’ dream of making the Shield final ended after Dundalk scored a narrow win to earn their place in the final.
A first half Ryan Doran goal was enough to settle the game at the University of Limerick and give Dundalk a place in Saturday’s Shield final against Donegal.
Kilkenny will close out their tournament when they take on the Inishowen League in a game to decide final placings this afternoon.
