IN THE 2012/2013 Provincial Towns Cup rugby draw, Kilkenny drew Portlaois in the first round.
This is Ireland’s oldest cup competition, writes Padraic Teacy.
The match will be played in Foulkstown on January 27.
Club President, John Kenna and secretary, Ger McDonald represented the club at the draw. Home advantage will be in Kilkenny’s favour.
The Cats have beaten Portlaoise already this season, but that only adds to the intrigue of the clash.
Kilkenny won the cup five times, but not for ten years now.
Full draw for kick off on January 27 - Co.
