Kilkenny camogie boss Brian Dowling and champion trainer Willie Mullins have been shortlisted as two of the 11 nominees for the RTE Sports Manager of the Year.

Dowling has brought great success to Kilkenny since his appointment after the 2019 season. He guided the Cats to All-Ireland success in 2020, and once again this year, after a dramatic final against rivals Cork.

Mullins on the other hand delivered a record 10 winners at the Cheltenham festival, including five on the final day, and was named Champion Trainer for an incredible 16th time having saddled over 200 winners.

The other nominees on the night are Irish Boxing Coach Zaur Anita, Shamrock Rovers Manager Stephen Bradley, Irish Rowing Coach Dominic Casey, Ireland Rugby Manager Andy Farrell, Limerick Hurling Manager John Kiely, Meath Ladies Football Boss Eamonn Murray, La Rochelle coach Ronan O'Gara, Kerry Senior Football Boss Jack O'Connor and Irish Football Manager Vera Pauw.

The awards ceremony which will be presented by Jacqui Hurley, Evanne Ní Chuilinn and Ruby Walsh takes place next Saturday night.

The other awards to be handed out on the night include RTÉ Sport Sportsperson of the Year, RTÉ Sport Team of the Year and RTÉ Sport Young Sportsperson of the Year.
