Fun and fashion was served up with a creative twist yesterday (Tuesday) as part of International Woman's Day.
Women of all ages joined in the fun and exchanged clothes and upstyled their wardrobes.
Environmental Awareness Officer, Bernadette Moloney said that she was delighted to be able to support the initiative.
“The swap shop makes people more efficient with their resources and also encourages people to reduce their waste,” she said.
Gently-used clean clothes and accessories were donated in exchange for tokens which can be used at the swap.
The community arts group Open Circle is hosted the event.
Make up artist Carol Knox of MUCK was onhand to give people a quick make over and help them transform their looks.
Photographer Ross Costigan captured some of the looks created which will feature in the Style section of next week's Kilkenny People.
The Zipyard, a clothing alterations company were also present to show people how a few simple stitches on a garment can create a different look or cleaner shape and style.
Any garments which are not used at the event will be donated to local charity shops.
