The quaint and creative Kilkenny town of Thomastown was awash with colour, music and community spirit over the weekend as Thomastown Pride returned for its second annual celebration.
The event brought together local residents, families, friends and visitors for a day dedicated to inclusivity, visibility and support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
From drag queen bingo at The Salmon Pool, to an open mic event at O’Hara’s and live music throughout the day in the sunshine at Jimmy’s Bar, the organising committee really pulled out all the stops.
As a self-funded community initiative, Thomastown Pride relied on donations, fundraising events and local goodwill to stage this year’s celebrations.
Building on the success of its first year, Thomastown Pride 2026 showed how small town spirit can really shine.
“We hope you had an amazing time at Thomastown Pride,” organisers said, thanking everyone who helped make the day one to remember.
