The Waterford Road in Kilkenny
Kilkenny County Council have advised that temporary traffic management including a lane closure (inbound direction) will be in place on the Waterford Road section between the Ring Road and Lidl in Kilkenny City from 7pm to 7am on Monday, January 12 and Tuesday, January 13 to facilitate roadworks.
Diversions will be in place.
Kilkenny County Council appreciates your co-operation and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
Last year, over €1 million in funding was announced to upgrade the local stretch of road.

The funding, which equates to €1.4 million in total, will be put towards reinforcing the existing cycle lane on the road.
A non-statutory public consultation was held on the Radial Routes within the city (Waterford Road included) to seek feedback and input on how these routes can be best designed to meet the community’s needs.
The feedback has subsequently been used to guide the ongoing design process.
