The Graignamanagh Town of Books Festival 2026 wrapped up after an amazing weekend of books, culture, music, art, craft, heritage, nature and community spirit, with thousands of visitors coming to Graignamanagh from near and far.
From Friday to Sunday (August 21-23), the scenic Kilkenny town came alive with bookshops, exhibitions, talks, workshops, music, poetry, children's activities, nature events, traditional crafts and art.
The Graignamanagh Town of Books Festival, Ireland's first Book Town Festival, once again demonstrated what makes Graignamanagh such a special cultural destination.
The festival committee said: “We are absolutely delighted with the response to this year's Town of Books Festival. The town was buzzing throughout the weekend, with visitors exploring our bookshops, enjoying the events and activities, meeting friends and discovering everything Graignamanagh has to offer.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along, took part, volunteered, performed, exhibited, traded, hosted an event or helped make the weekend such a success. It was a fantastic community effort.”
