Temperatures are set to plummet in Kilkenny next week as weather models show that a blast of freezing cold air is becoming increasingly likely.
The latest weather charts from the GFS model are currently showing the possibility of temperatures reaching -10C in the South-East of the country on Wednesday morning.
Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather stated that the latest charts rolling out from GFS model are 'showing a real blast of cold air very likely next week now'.
"Windchill will feel bitter next Tuesday and Wednesday and a risk of some wintry showers but largely dry for most on current outlook," he added.
