ALERT: Met Éireann issue severe level orange snow and ice warning for Kilkenny

The snow warning will be in place from 9pm Thursday until 10am Friday

Met Éireann have issued a status orange 'snow/ice' warning for Kilkenny, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow and Tipperary.

The warning for these counties comes into effect at 9pm Thursday until 10am Friday.

Significant accumulations of snow are expected in some areas along with icy conditions.

Lying snow and sub-zero temperatures overnight could also lead to icy stretches.

Possible Impacts:
● Very hazardous road conditions
● Travel disruption
● Poor Visibility

Further spells of sleet and snow are expected today combined with strong northerly winds.
