Kilkenny experienced an 82km/hr gust of wind earlier today, according to local weatherman Niall Dollard (Kilkenny Weather).
He told followers that the gust is the 'strongest here in Kilkenny since February of last year'.
A status yellow weather warning remains active in Kilkenny until 8pm this evening.
Met Éireann have warned that gusts of up to 110km/hr are possible.
