After Storm Isha and Storm Jocelyn wreaked havoc across the country, Ireland is now bracing itself for the impact of Storm Ingunn today, as powerful winds sweep across the country, prompting weather warnings.

The Met Éireann has issued a yellow wind warning for several counties, while the UK Met Office has also raised alerts for specific regions in Northern Ireland.

The affected Irish counties, including Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo, are under a yellow wind warning from 8am until 1pm this Wednesday.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions as strong and gusty southwest winds are expected.

Meanwhile, a separate Status Yellow wind warning is in place from 9am until 5pm this Wednesday for Derry and Antrim.

"Storm Ingunn is a named storm which was named today by the Met Service of Norway. They have issued Red Warnings for parts of Norway with dangerous winds expected!"
