Storm Darragh is making its mark in Kilkenny
Kilkenny is currently under an orange weather warning from Met Éireann and has recorded its stronget gust (so far) since 2018, according to Niall Dollard of Kilkenny Weather.
"Just at midnight I recorded a gust of 104 km/hr which is the strongest gust recorded here in Kilkenny since January 2018 (nearly 7 years)," he stated on X (formerly Twitter).

A status orange wind warning is currently in place for Kilkenny (the rest of Leinster, Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan).

Very strong and gusty northwest winds could lead to impacts such as fallen trees, damage to power lines, very difficult travelling conditions and structural damage.
This warning is valid until 10am.
