LATEST: Kilkenny County Council crews continue to clear the roads

Kilkenny County Council’s roads crews and fire services have been actively responding since during the morning and early afternoon to address the aftermath of Storm Éowyn.

Their emergency crews will address any outstanding issues before being stood down. The remaining cleanup efforts will continue over the next few days.

"We extend our thanks to everyone for their hard work under challenging conditions, and to the members of An Garda Síochána for their assistance and cooperation," a council spokesperson said.

A Status Yellow Weather Warning remains in place until 4pm.

The local authority's Out of Hours Number, 0818 399 399, will be operational from 5pm this evening onwards.
