The dry and bright weather being experienced here in Kilkenny looks set to continue in the upcoming days, but a stray band of wet weather is poised to pass over the middle of the country this weekend.
This band of rain, which a number of forecast models are now predicting, is expected to arrive on Sunday, but this forecast could be subject to change.
The good news is that high pressure is once again expected to build after the weather system passes, meaning a continuation of relatively dry and bright weather into next week.

According to Niall Dollard of Kilkenny Weather, "Some of the forecasting models are now indicating a bit of an interruption in the fine weather on Sunday, with rain right up the middle of the country. High pressure is still expected to build after that."
His forecast is very similar to Carlow Weather's Alan O'Reilly, who stated that "the first sign of any real rain has shown up on the weather models for Sunday with risk of heavy showers pushing up from south but very uncertain yet and could well stay south of us. High pressure likely to build in again after it too."
Planning a BBQ this weekend? Maybe Saturday is a safer shout (for now anyway)!
