IN PICTURES: Kilkenny faces one of its most devastating weeks of flooding

Towns and villages across County Kilkenny are continuing the cleanup following a week of flooding in the region. - PICTURES BELOW

Most roads/streets have re-opened after being deemed impassable for much of the week with Thomastown and Graignamanagh feeling the worst effects. - LATEST FROM GRAIGNAMANAGH HERE

Looking ahead, the possibility of future flooding remains for the week ahead. Met Éireann has issued two Status Yellow rain warnings for Kilkenny and seven other counties as further heavy rain moves in on already saturated ground.

The first Status Yellow rain warning covers Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford, Cork and Waterford. It will come into effect at 1pm on Bank Holiday Monday and remain in place until 9am on Tuesday morning. - READ MORE HERE
