Met Éireann alert as Kilkenny braces for hail, sleet, and snow and severe frost

Risk of snow for Kilkenny

Met Éireann have issued a weather advisory alert for the week ahead as very cold weather is set to sweep across the country over the coming week.

Every county including Kilkenny is included in the national advisory that warns of 'very cold weather this week as an Arctic airmass sets in'.

This airmass is set to bring sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches on roads.

Showers of hail, sleet, and snow will occur during the second half of the week.

Updates with potential warnings will be issued in the coming days.
