Christmas forecast predicts dangerous 'low system tracking near Ireland' - Kilkenny Live

Huge uncertainty still on the forecast for this weekend, says forecaster Alan O'Reilly.

He added: "A low system is forecast to track near Ireland Christmas Day with one model keeping it south of Ireland but another brings it into Ireland with potential for a stormy Christmas night.

"Hopefully the ECMWF model is not the correct outcome as it has some nasty winds Christmas night and St Stephen’s Day.

"Where the storm ends up with decide if we see colder weather after Christmas Day or not."
