National Reptile Zoo in Kilkenny launches nature gallery

This month the National Reptile Zoo launches “NRZ nature gallery” - a collection of artwork that showcases impressions and abstractions from nature, local ecosystems, far away ecologies and habitats that support wildlife.

The exhibition will be curated within the National Reptile Zoo, Kilkenny - as part of the zoo experience and is displayed in the conservatory and media room.

Artists are invited to submit a list of artworks that you wish to exhibit along with a bio.

Thematic

The exhibition is a creative interpretation of wildlife; peering into the lives, forms, textures, ecosystems and ideas that surround animals, habitats, conservation and wild spaces. It is hoped that the exhibition will shift the viewer’s gaze beyond commonly held perceptions of nature - exoticism and a fear of the unknown.

Participating artists may choose to contribute a percentage of their sales towards one of the NRZ conservation initiatives.
