Miss Kilkenny is calling on people to support her fundraising night in aid of the Make a Wish Foundation.
The Once upon a time raffle night will take place at Bollard's Pub on October 28.
This year's Miss Kilkenny is Urlingford lady Caitlin Raven. Caitlin is 21 and a student of social care at TUS. She also has Type 1 diabetes. But one of the core messages Caitlin hopes to bring to her time as Miss Kilkenny is "to show people that all disabilities hidden and shown, big and small are beautiful."
As a little girl the Make a Wish Foundation made her wish for a New York shopping spree come true, now she wants other kids to experience the same joy she did, so is fundraising for the organisation as part of this year's Miss Ireland competition.
