Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny have confirmed that their second Barrel Yard session which was due to take place tomorrow, Saturday, night has been postponed because of Storm Kathleen.
The aptly-named ‘Raindogs’ were due on stage on Saturday from 5pm. But with heavy rain and high winds forecast throughout Saturday, Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny manager, Ignacio Peregrina, said a tough decision was taken to postpone the session.
“The Barrel Yard is a special place and we want people attending our sessions to enjoy their experience. The forecast for Saturday seems to be getting worse, not better, so in the interest of everybody’s comfort and safety, we have regrettably postponed the session and apologise for any inconvenience caused," he said.
“The good news is that the weather is finally due to pick up in the middle of the month and we will be back with Barrel Yard sessions every single weekend from May right through to September. Again, we apologise for this disappointment but it is the right and the safe thing to do.”
