A special fundraising 80s/90s disco will be held in Set Theatre, Langton's on Friday, April 19 to raise funds for a local cause - Carlow/Kilkenny Irish Pilgrimage Trust.
The trust is based in Kilcuan, Galway and this year marks its 50th anniversary. The idea is to give young people with additional needs a great week without their families, and for the families, it's valuable respite.
The Irish pilgrimage trust recently visited Lourdes on Easter Sunday. A group of 18 people left Kilkenny for Dublin to meet a contingent from all over lreland for a very special week
Fundraising is key to pay for guests so that it is no expense to the family. All the carers are volunteers who pay their own fares, and give up a week of their holidays.
Tickets for the disco are available at St John's and St Patrick's parish office or on Eventbrite.
