A vision in pink, who sang beautifully about a blue sky... Kilkenny’s Rose Lisa O’Rourke lit up the stage at the International Rose of Tralee contest last night (Monday).
Lisa joined up with her Rose ‘sisters’ last week and in the days before the television part of the festival they travelled around the country on the Rose Tour.
Following an entrance to one of the loudest cheers of the night, Lisa was interviewed on stage by Katherine Thomas and she had a shout-out to the Castlecomer Pantomime Society and Kilkenny Musical Society members supporting her in the crowd.
Lisa was also supported in Tralee by her family, including her dad, grandad, brothers and aunts.
Lisa’s stage appearance was polished off by a beautiful rendition of the Shawn Colvin song ‘Never saw blue like that.’
