Exciting lecture season announced by Kilkenny historical society

Donal Cadogan, who recently released Kilkenny’s Deadly Years, will kick the lecture season off

The South Kilkenny Historical Society recently announced details of its upcoming lecture season, which will begin on Friday, September 27 when Donal Cadogan will talk on ‘Murder and Justice in 19th Century Kilkenny’.

On October 25, Dr Willie Nolan will deliver a lecture on Francis MacManus, while Andrew Doherty will deliver a lecture on ‘Freighting the River Blackwater’ on November 29.

All lectures start at 8pm and will be held in Mullinavat Parish Hall (opposite St Beacon’s Church).
