Kilkenomics, the world’s first festival combining economics and comedy, returns to Kilkenny from Thursday, November 7 to 10 - just in time to analyse the outcome of the US Presidential election.

Now in its 15th year, Kilkenomics brings together top economists, financial experts, academics and commentators along with some of the sharpest comedians around, to deliver thought-provoking and entertaining discussions on the most pressing Irish and global economic, social and political issues.

Known for its unique blend of serious economic debate with a twist of humour and subversion, Kilkenomics 2024 will feature a stellar lineup of speakers tackling subjects ranging from the future of artificial intelligence to the political rise of the right in Europe; and from the Irish housing crisis to the critical economic and political outcomes of the US Presidential election which will have just been decided hours before.

Audiences can expect lively, no-holds-barred discussions on the global economy, climate change populism, and everything in between—delivered with brilliant insights as well as wit, humour, and irreverence.

Over the four-day event, attendees will be treated to more than 60 panel discussions with economists and commentators such as festival co-founder David McWilliams, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Peter Frankopan, Rory Sutherland, Fintan O'Toole, Carole Nakhle, Carolina Alves, Julia Hobsbawn and Kyla Scanlon sharing the stage with comedians like Dylan Moran, Colm O’Regan, Sam Kebede, Alison Spittle, Kevin McGahern, Shane Daniel Byrne, Karl Spain and Julie Jay; ensuring a festival full of insightful and enlightening moments.

Announcing a new partnership with the festival, Garrett Bridgeman, Managing Director of Mails and Parcels at An Post Commerce said the company was [delighted to partner with Kilkenomics because we both share a commitment to simplifying complexities for our customers'.

"Just as Kilkenomics makes topics like economics, finance, and geopolitics accessible to everyday life, An Post Commerce offers expert solutions to businesses of all sizes — whether small, big, or global. We are here to partner with your business and help promote, sell, and deliver across any distance, making business feel seamless," he added.
