A family fun day, a Queer Céilí, life drawing, Youth Pride and stand-up comedy are just some of the highlights of this year’s Kilkenny Pride Festival.

Central to the weekend activities will be the city’s first ever Pride Parade, on Saturday.
Starting at 1pm from The Parade, revellers will follow a route to Butler Gallery to continue the celebrations with the Family Fun Day.

Keep the party going on Saturday evening - choose from a Queer Ceilí at Fennelly’s in Callan with live music from Cré, or Roo Honeychild with Kehoe.Ceol and Pól Pogba at Cleere’s Bar in the city.

But before all that, get ready for the weekend with the Nerd Pub Quiz in Kyteler’s Inn on Thursday evening, or the karaoke night in Biddy Early’s.

Thursday will also see comedian Gearóid Farrelly take to the stage at the Kilkenny Comedy Club.
On Friday take part in ‘Drag and Draw’ at Butler Gallery.
