Talks, information stands, machinery, equipment, demonstrations, artisan craft and food stands, family activities and music

Ireland's Festival of Forestry to be held on Kilkenny border

Ireland's Woodland Show is coming to the magnificent Kilkea Castle in Castledermot, Co. Kildare on the 4th and 5th October.  

The format of the show will follow last year, bringing opportunities to celebrate Irish trees, sustainable woodland management, all things timber and biodiversity through woodland talks, information stands, chainsaw carving, machinery and equipment displays including harvesters, forwarders, saws;  demonstrations with Pintofplane Eoin Reardon, Fiach Rua

Timbercraft Mícheál Potterton and Living Longbows Jack Pinson, artisan crafts, food stands and family activities.  The Celtic Chainsaw Carvers are returning again and have assembled another amazing team to raise the noise and let the wood fly to create sculptures live alongside machinery demos and all supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
