A story of love, care and community — these simple words sum up the extraordinary story told in a new film to be shown in Kilkenny, next week.
Born That Way is a movie that documents the inspiring life of Patrick Lydon and the extraordinary impact his work had on the lives of so many.
Crafted from more than 170 hours of footage, mostly shot in and around Callan, as well as archive material, the film recounts the story of a man who left a budding career in rock journalism in America to become a driving force in the Camphill Community in Ireland.
A very special piece of work, film maker Éamon Little’s well-crafted storytelling is set against the back drop of Patrick’s last year. Click the arrows to read on, see more photographs and find out when the movie is showing in Kilkenny.
