Connell was born in Colorado, spent most of his life in California and now lives in Florida. He once played football for the San Francisco 49ers, and he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne division of the US army, which specialises in parachute assault operations.

The lecture will transition through the years of independence: The laws – problems – and decisions deserve a closer look – and we must look at the uncomfortable realities of the period

How was terror felt throughout the period? What was the treatment of women during the period. Question was there really a revolution? It shall cover some events and people in Kilkenny in those areas.

Please note the new time: Thursday, February 19, starting at 7.30pm. Admission: €8 Members, €10 Non-Members.
