Kilkenny’s 12th annual food festival, “Savour Kilkenny” has a feast of treats for children and families this year including foraging, young food producers market and even a spooky slime factory! Moody Monster Trick or Treat Family Trail
Follow the clues on our fun-filled Moody Monster Trick or Treat Trail through our mysterious woodland. Make your way back to the Visitor Centre to receive your trick or treat – a lump of Castlecomer coal or a special treat for the family to share? No need to book.

Zip of Terror
Zoom down Ireland’s longest zip wire in the dark before walking through the haunted woodland. Promises to be a spine chilling experience!

Fruits of the Forest
Family foraging event and Explore the woodlands, forage for wild food and learn to identify plants. Part of Savour Kilkenny.

Kilkenny Pumpkin Picking Patch

Nore Valley Park

During the day there’s pumpkin picking and carving and you can have a go at making a scarecrow. By night there’s a treasure hunt by torchlight. Hunt for reflective markers to solve the puzzle and win a prize. You can also toast marshmallows over the bonfire and there’s a terrifying scare maze. Bring a torch! Halloween Fancy Dress Pageant will take place at 6.30 on Tuesday 30th October. Open to Primary School children! Halloween Story time and crafts on Wednesday 31st at 11.30am for pre schoolers.

On Monday, October 29, there will be an extraordinary party in Dunmore Woods from 3pm to 5pm. Arrive in costumes suitable for the occasion, follow clues and find pumpkins, have some hot chocolate and marshmallows, make slime and get your face painted. All for just €10 per child fully inclusive.


Kilmanagh Halloween Disco

A Kids Fancy Dress Halloween Disco will be held in Ballycallan Hall on Thursday, October 25, from 6pm–8 pm. Admission €5. Prepare to be spooked!

Muckalee Halloween Disco

Halloween night sees the first official function take place in the new Muckalee GFC Club Rooms with its first Teenage Disco  at 8.30pm with DJ from the dead spooky and it's a first and second year disco only.

Neat dress is essential,  tickets at €10, refreshments provided. Tickets from any member of the committe or at Muckalee Club Rooms on Friday, October 19 and 26 from 8 to 8.30pm. The event itself will finish at 11.30pm to ensure everyone is in time for the witching hour!
