Local crafts will be on sale at the Clay Rooms
Clay Rooms Kilkenny will be hosting a Christmas market this Saturday and Sunday (December 10 and 11).
The market will be open from 10-6 pm on Saturday and 11-5pm on Sunday. This is the first market for Clay Rooms, a teaching and learning space for ceramics. Courses are available on www.clayroomskilkenny.ie and to celebrate their first year in business there’s an on line competition to win vouchers for either a hand building class or a throwing class. Vouchers will be available to buy to give as gifts for special loved ones.
Makers from Kilkenny and the South-east will displaying their work in Clay Rooms Kilkenny bespoke studio down Colliers lane. There will be a mix of hand thrown ceramics from Lydia Smith, slip ware from Orla Culligan, beautiful handmade ceramic mugs and brooches from Vale Ceramics and gorgeous wood fired ceramics from Jim Behan.
Stephine Harvey will have a wide range of hand made prints and cards. Mary Whitty display will consist of handmade brooches, earring ceramics and zines. Harmony Designs have individually printed tea towels and table runner to make your Christmas Day special.
Wreaths for will be on display created by hand by Thistle and Twine Floral Designs. Animator and puppet maker Carlos Mateus reinvigorates all the fun of puppetry with his handmade puppets.
Cliodhna Lyons is treating us to handmade zines, cards pins and prints. Chloe Curtin of Chloes_paper craft will treat us to fabulous recreations of local landmarks and buildings of Kilkenny loving crafted by hand in paper.
All are welcome for a special market with local craftspeople.
