With word over the weekend that David Bowie had seemingly recorded a number of songs to be released posthumously, it's his classics that are likely to be to the fore in Kilkenny this Friday.
From 9pm, Billy Byrne's Bar hosts a tribute night in the form a celebration in song of the inspirational genius.
Participating musicians include: Carole Nelson, Beto Kepper, Bob Murphy, Captain Anchor, Canice Kenealy, Cormac Larkin, Rain Dogs and Duende Dogs.
Entry costs €10, or half that for the unwaged, with proceeds going to the Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team as a nod to the star's struggle with cancer.
